Measuring for your new leather belt
Your handcrafted Erme belt will be custom made to your individual requirements.
Please be sure to measure your existing belt carefully using the measuring guide below. We are unable to accept returns on bespoke or personalised orders.
If it is not possible to measure an existing belt then, as a rough guide, your belt size will usually be 2” larger than your trouser size but does depend on how low the trousers are worn.
Please contact us if you have any queries or would like any advice regarding belt sizes.
Belt Measuring Guide:
On your current belt, measure in inches from the inside edge of the buckle to the hole you use most.
The measurement you provide will become the centre hole of your new belt.
Care of your leather belt
Before it leaves the workshop your Erme belt will be treated with a final finish of leather care. Then it will be carefully wrapped and packed in its own recycled cotton gift bag.
Take good care of your belt and your belt will look after you in return.
Try to avoid getting it wet wherever possible. But, if it does get damp, let it dry naturally (not near a radiator or other heat source). Leather will naturally soften and darken with use. We recommend that you nourish your leather belt from time to time with a leather conditioner to keep it supple and looking its very best.
