The sacks used to make these original tote bags were sourced by Ermestone Leather in the town of Saint-Dizier-Leyrenne located in the Limousin region in the centre of France. Pradaude was the name of the grain merchant whose premises were located opposite the now disused railway station on Rue de la Gare.
The new owner of what was once the main hotel discovered the sacks when he and his wife recently bought the property and adjoining out buildings.
Each sack is unique due to the fact that they are all printed slightly differently. Many have small repairs and carry visible signs of their working life which adds to their individuality but does not affect their functionality.

Do not machine wash due to mixed materials, but sacking can be sponge cleaned and bag left to dry naturally if necessary.
